Is your practice on our Athena integration? Here's what that means:

  1. VaxCare is receiving live edits to patients and appointments from Athena - updates should appear within seconds.
  2. When you check out doses at the VaxHub, we send lot numbers and expiration dates back to Athena to help make documenting vaccinations a little easier. Please note that the open order for the vaccines must already be in Athena and signed by the doctor in order for the lot Information to trace back to the patient successfully.

Other things to look out for...

  • Making patient edits in VaxCare? Be careful... we trust Athena as the system of record. If a patient is missing data and you only add it to VaxCare, it will be overwritten by whatever we get from Athena.
  • Lot numbers not making it back to Athena? Please note that the open order for the vaccines must already be in Athena and signed by the doctor in order for the lot Information to trace back to the patient successfully. Still no luck? Let us know and we'll help out.
