The Vaccine Insights section of your online VaxCare Portal gives you many different views into your VaxCare Program.

FINANCIAL IMPACT OF CURRENT MONTH'S INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS

To view the financial impact of this month's inventory transactions (including count variances, transfers, and lost/wasted doses), we have introduced the Inventory Balance view within Vaccine Insights.

From the top menu bar of your online VaxCare Portal, click the Resources tab. Then select Inventory Balance.

If you have multiple locations, you will be prompted to select the location for which you would like to pull a product report. If you are part of the VFC pilot program, you will also be prompted to select between your VaxCare and VFC inventory.

All other partners will immediately jump to "Select a Month." Select the month you wish to view, and then "Show Results."

The Open Balance indicates the financial impact of all inventory transactions for the month you are viewing. Negative numbers (in parentheses) indicate an invoice. Positive numbers indicate an overage.  Your balance will remain open until the end of the month. The balance will then be credited or invoiced with your next compensation cycle on the 15th of each month.

The transaction history shows a line-item list of all of the transactions that contributed to the Open Balance at the top of the report. The transaction history includes the date of the transaction(s), the transaction type(s), the product(s), the lot number(s), and the number of dose(s) involved in the balance, as well as the financial impact of each transaction. Once again, negative numbers (in parentheses) indicate an invoice. Positive numbers indicate an overage.

FINANCIAL IMPACT OF SPECIFIC INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS

While the Inventory Balance section of Vaccine Insights will keep a running dollar value for the month as you complete your daily Count Confirmations (or transfers), inventory discrepancies are only a piece of the complete inventory picture.

To review the financial impact of particular VaxHub transactions - including checkouts, count variances, shipments, transfers in, transfers out, loss/waste, and returned doses to VaxCare - we have introduced the VaxHub Transaction view within Vaccine Insights.

From the top menu bar of your online VaxCare Portal, click the Resources tab. Then select VaxHub Transaction.

If you have multiple locations, you will be prompted to select the location for which you would like to pull a transaction report. If you are part of the VFC pilot program, you will also be prompted to select between your VaxCare and VFC inventory.

All other partners will immediately see a list of optional VaxHub transactions to add to your report: Checkout, Count Variance, Shipment, Transfer In, Transfer Out, Loss/Waste, Return Doses, and Other. Select the types of transactions you want to view.

Select the date range you would like to see included in your transaction report. "This Week" and "This Month" options will select the current calendar week and the current calendar month. "Custom" will allow you to select your own date range.

You will now see a list of transactions, much like the list for our demo clinic below. To view the financial impact of these transactions, select “Export as Excel.”

Open the Excel file, which should look much like the demo file of fictional patients/users you see below.

Next, highlight column F by clicking on the column F header. The sum of column F in the bottom toolbar (see screenshot below) reports the financial impact of your VaxHub transactions for the selected date range. A negative value indicates an invoice, and a positive value indicates an overage of vaccines. A net of zero indicates there are no current net charges or overages related to the type of transaction you have selected.

FINANCIAL IMPACT OF SPECIFIC PRODUCT(S)

To view the financial impact of a particular vaccine product, return to the Vaccine Insights section of your VaxCare Portal and select the "Product" view.

If you have multiple locations, you will be prompted to select the location for which you would like to pull a product report. If you are part of the VFC pilot program, you will also be prompted to select between your VaxCare and VFC inventory.

All other partners will immediately see a list of products. Simply choose the product you would like to include on your report.

Next, select the date range you would like to view for the particular vaccine product you have chosen.

Export the product report to Excel, then follow the steps outlined above to review the financial impact of the product you have chosen.
